Abbotsford Oaks - Fine Bed & Breakfast Accommodation

Welcome to Abbotsford Oaks website

Abbotsford Oaks is a substantial and unique property, set in the beautiful Central Hawke's Bay landscape. Purpose built as a children's home in the 1920s from a bequest by Lissie Rathbone, it provided a home for up to 30 children at any one time until 1987.

Now refurbished to provide superior boutique bed and breakfast accommodation, Abbotsford Oaks boasts spacious comfortable rooms most with their own sitting rooms and private bathrooms. All rooms are well appointed with mostly new furnishings.

There is also a substantial elegantly furnished guest lounge with open fire where you can watch TV or just relax. The large dining room also has a comfortable lounging area in which to relax, listen to music or read a book.

Breakfasts, either continental or cooked, can be served in your private lounge, in the dining room or outside in the garden. Complimentary coffee, tea and biscuits are available throughout the day.

The property borders the Waipawa Township and has a picturesque country outlook. The 3.5 acres of park like grounds and home orchard provide many places for quiet contemplation of nature.

Abbotsford Oaks is ideal for that restful getaway, corporate retreat or as a base to visit the many attractions Hawke's Bay has to offer. It is only 30 minutes drive through the beautiful Central Hawke's Bay countryside to the wineries in Hastings and Havelock North. For the golfing enthusiast there are 5 golf courses in close proximity or if trout fishing appeals then there are some good rivers near by.

Abbotsford Oaks is open for bookings.

Tariffs range from NZD $120 to $195 per room.
Prices are quoted in New Zealand dollars and include breakfast and Goods & Services Tax.

An introductory discount of 20% off the above tariffs is available until 1 September 2003.
